We are pleased to announce that the Hong Kong College of Family Physicians is organizing the WONCA Asia Pacific Regional Conference at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, Hong Kong SAR from 4th to 7th June 2009.

The theme of the conference is "Building Bridges". It is pivotal that a family doctor is the coordinator of care for the patient. In real life, a family doctor has to create communication channels or bridges between different sectors of the health care team. The role of a family doctor is reflected in the theme of the conference.

We plan to invite renowned local and overseas speakers to review with us the latest cutting edge information on the latest medical developments. Local researchers would also be invited to present their research work done. In addition, there will be practical workshops for participants to update their hands-on clinical skills. The conference will focus on the modern multidisciplinary approach to patient management.
